Gluten Free | Sweets for your Sweetie

Gluten Free | Sweets for your Sweetie

Holidays can be such a challenge for those following a restricted diet. Avoiding gluten, dairy and soy (present in most chocolate in the form of soy lecithin) is hard enough and now add color-dye and genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), such as high fructose corn syrup to the mix, and one can go into overdrive.  The holidays that are coated in red color dye are the most troublesome for us (Valentine’s day, Christmas). Everyday Classics | Gluten Free Cookbook | Review and Giveaway

Everyday Classics | Gluten Free Cookbook | Review and Giveaway

This is my dream cookbook…gluten, dairy, egg, soy-free and…family oriented. I am so excited to review this cookbook. I have been following Lexie’s Kitchen for some time now and am thrilled to say, I love her new cookbook. My family has already asked for the chicken and rice casserole again. I was hoping it would last for two meals and it did not (I’ll have to double the recipe next time). New Products at the Gluten Free Allergen Free Expo in San Francisco

Cybele Pascal’s new allergen free cookies

Cybele Pascal’s new allergen free cookies

I am so excited to announce Cybele Pascal’s new Free to Eat allergy friendly packaged cookies. You may remember Cybele has one of my favorite cookbook authors. I love her cookbook the Allergen Free Baker’s Handbook. Her recipe for chocolate chip cookies and “choco chunk” cookies (a chocolate lover’s dream) are awesome. Both cookie recipes turn out soft and moist. Even my gluten eating teenagers love them and can’t believe their gluten-free. This week I finally received my first boxes of Cybele’s Free to Eat cookies. I’ve been anxious to try...
