Two Product Reviews and a Giveaway!

FFCollage

When Foster Farm’s first contacted me about this potential product review, I was a little hesitant as I am an advocate of organic meat and ingredients. I knew the gluten-free products by Foster Farms would be conventional. After I thought about it, I decided to do the review as I have many clients across the United States that complain they don’t have quality grocer’s or farms near them to purchase organic products or do not have the budget. I feel very lucky that I have had the resources and accessibility to provide my family with quality food and I know, all to well, that there are many families that don’t have this. This being said, I am glad that a company such as Foster Farms can provide gluten-free foods in the mainstream grocery stores making it more assessable for many Americans. My hope is that organic foods will begin to be subsidized by the government so they too become more affordable like conventional meats and other products.

Meanwhile, my family loved these products. They ate them so fast, I had to go out and buy more for the photos. I tasted the corn dogs and my opinion is that they taste just like regular gluten corn dogs. Sam described the chicken nuggets as “delicious.” These Foster Farm’s gluten-free products get a thumbs up at your house.

Foster Farm’s has generously offered a giveaway to my followers. Five lucky winners will receive a coupon for a free box of Foster Farm’s corn dogs. In my area, Foster Farm gluten-free products are available at Safeway stores. To enter the drawing for a free box of Foster Farm’s gluten-free corn dogs, “like” both our Facebook pages: Thriving GF and Foster Farms, follow me on Instagram and then email me that you’ve completed these three things – kim@thrivinggf.com. The winner will be announced on February 1, 2015. Good luck!

Gluten-Free Bistro Pizza Crust and Frozen Pizza

bistro1

I discovered this company at one of the gluten-free expos last year. I was only able to try the pizza crust and fell in love with it. The crust is really tasty. I like to brush it with olive oil, brown it under the broiler and serve with with hummus, veggies and olives. The crust is really tasty. The company later sent me a sample pack with the frozen pizzas (below). I really like the Greek Vegan Mini Pizzas. I thought they were very good. Sam on the other hand did not like the Greek version. I did let him taste the Margherita version despite the dairy in the ingredients. He did like that version.  The company also offers a raw pizza dough that allows you to make your personalized pizza.  Overall these products get a thumbs up from us. They are available in Northern California at Whole Foods Market. You can check this list for a retailer near you Bistro Gluten-Free.
